Thanks to striking advances in wood-fireproofing and other technologies, the mall will be 60% made of wood. Compared with conventional steel-frame buildings, the facility will slash CO2 emissions by some 2,000 t. The highest standards in sustainable technology will be adopted, advancing and promoting the reduction of environmental impact.

Think of Shibuya and naturally you think of shopping, but in fact there is much more to this vibrant area. Walk 15 minutes from the station and you’ll find favorite upscale residential neighborhoods such as Shoto, Shinsencho and Nanpeidai, home to low-rise condominium complexes and grand villas. Embassies, churches, art galleries and green spaces adorn these quarters, enfolding an oasis of artistic ambience amid the bustle of the city.
